Checked this place out and the atmosphere was really swinging Friday night. Really cool small town bar feel and the service was really prompt and efficient.
We were told that we had a 20 minute wait when it took approximately 5 minutes. They etched out a table for our party where they could make due. I enjoyed the appeal of not having assigned tables designated but catering to the party while putting together the right table size. Like the scene in "Good Fellas" where Ray Liota gets a table brought in for him and his date then placed in space right in the front. It gave us the feeling like we were the kings of the joint.

The food was way better then what you'd expect from a bar. I had slow cooked pot roast that was tender to the bone. Dripping with vast amounts of gravy made me feel like I was eating at Morton's or Sullivan's. I would have never thought that the food would be of such a high caliber. I expected fried everything like you wold expect in most bars but the selection was varied from finger foods, blue plate specials, build your own burgers, and healthy options as well. The mashed potatoes were on point, none of that pre-made stuff. The slow-roasted red potatoes and carrots along side the Pot Roast were excellent as well.

Great atmosphere, varied food selection, prompt and attentive service, great meal, and of course beer makes the The Lodge a 9 out of 10 for me. All around 10 bucks for the meal and you have a place affordable and delectable!
